We are thrilled to present MARY POPPINS, the opening production of our 2015-2016 TYP season. Bring your family and be enchanted by this irresistible story and the unforgettable songs, breathtaking dance numbers, and astonishing stagecraft that makes this the musical that soars high above the rest. Believe in the magic of Mary Poppins and discover a world where anything can happen if you let it!

About Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. With her firm belief that “Anything can happen if you let it”, Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, and has a profound affect on their lives. Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s Mary Poppins delighted Broadway audiences for over 2,500 performances and received nominations for nine Olivier and seven TONY Awards, including Best Musical.

Throckmorton Youth Program (TYP) offers a season of musical theatre on the main stage, designed and directed by highly qualified theater arts professionals with an emphasis on exceptional professional quality. Students between the ages of 8-18 audition for the roles and also have the opportunity to learn the ropes behind the scenes as crew, stage managing, light board operator, prop and costume support and ushering.
