Announcing our 5th Annual Throckmorton Theatre Mountainfilm Festival with another extraordinary lineup of adventure documentary films from around the world!  Our festival schedule is packed with films, parties, intimate talks, musical performances and environmental artists plus a spectacular lineup of Special Guests! You will be inspired by the indomitable spirit of people – their stories and ideas and be a part of important conversations on environmental, cultural and social justice issues that matter!

    Almost Sunrise is a film that eschews stereotypes, and instead, captures an unprecedented portrait of veterans – one of hope, potential and untold possibilities.   We predict there won’t be a dry eye at the end of this remarkable film!  And we have the privilege of welcoming tonight, not only the director of the film but two of the star film subjects as well – who will all join us onstage for a Q & A.

    Michael Collins is an Emmy-nominated filmmaker and the founder of Thoughtful Robot, a production company specializing in documentary films. His film Give Up Tomorrow won the Audience Award and a Special Jury Mention for Best New Director at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival and was nominated for a 2013 News & Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding Investigative Journalism.
